Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-05-19 · Linksman LLC
Linksman LLC (“Linksman,” “we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have. By using the Linksman websites, applications, or services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information you provide directly: name, email address, phone number, the city where you golf most often, and any password or authentication identifier you create.
- Provider credentials and identifiers you supply to link tee-sheet provider accounts (such as GolfNow, foreUP, Chronogolf, JC Golf / Club Prophet, Lightspeed, Tee-it-Up, and similar). These are encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES encryption and used only to act on your behalf with the relevant Provider.
- Booking, watchlist, and preferences data: course choices, time windows, players, price ceilings, alert configurations, cancellations, and any history of action taken through the Service.
- Billing information if you purchase a paid plan. Payments are processed by our payment processor (currently Stripe); Linksman does not store full card numbers on its own systems.
- Device and usage data: IP address, user-agent, device model, operating system, app version, language, page views, referrer, timestamps, and crash diagnostics.
- Communications: messages you send to hello@linksman.app or support, and any feedback you submit.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To execute bookings, watchlists, alerts, and other actions you request, including signing into Provider sites on your behalf using credentials you supply.
- To send transactional emails and notifications (confirmations, cancellations, alerts, important account updates).
- To send occasional product updates, beta-access announcements, and marketing about Linksman features. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security risks, and technical issues.
- To plan expansion: aggregated, anonymized signups by city help us decide where to launch next. We do not sell this data.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information.
- Tee-sheet Providers. When you instruct Linksman to book, cancel, watch, or otherwise act on your behalf, we transmit the necessary information (which may include your Provider login, name, email, phone, and booking parameters) to the relevant Provider to fulfill your request.
- Service providers and processors. We use vendors to run the Service, including Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database + storage), Resend (transactional email), Stripe (payments), Browserbase or equivalent (browser automation), and analytics providers. These vendors process data on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect it.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent fraud, protect rights, safety, or property, or enforce these terms.
- Corporate transactions. If Linksman is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
4. How Long We Keep It
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained indefinitely.
5. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields (including Provider credentials), role-based access controls, and routine security review. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee that unauthorized parties will never gain access. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You have the following choices regarding your information:
- Access, correct, or delete. You can email hello@linksman.app to request a copy of your information, correct inaccurate data, or delete your account.
- Unlink Providers. You can remove any linked Provider account from within the app at any time. Removal deletes the encrypted credentials from our store.
- Marketing opt-out. Unsubscribe links are included in every marketing email. Transactional messages (e.g. booking confirmations, security notices) are necessary to operate the Service and cannot be opted out of while you remain a user.
- Do Not Track. Our sites do not respond to Do Not Track browser signals at this time.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. EU/EEA residents have rights under the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@linksman.app.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our websites and apps use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure traffic, and improve the Service. You can configure your browser to block cookies, but parts of the Service may not work as a result.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Third-Party Sites and Providers
The Service includes links to and integrations with third-party websites and Providers, including tee-sheet platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before using their services.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date at the top of the page. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
